Crypto's Three Body Problem

I love this article by The Other Internet (https://otherinter.net/).

The core vision of cryptocurrency was to create tamper-proof systems of governance. Yet efforts to integrate these mechanisms into wider society, such as Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and crypto-based polities, have mostly fallen short. We can understand these shortcomings through the lens of Lawrence Lessig's legal framework. While blockchain architects focus on market forces and computer code, they often overlook the critical roles played by social conventions and legal structures. Without these regulatory elements, the range of cooperative behaviors that can be encouraged or mandated is significantly constrained.
